~Summer~

Yep...summertime has arrived and what better place to spend it than here in our own little corner of paradise~! Love this picture of Jim with his feet buried in the sand...yep even big kids have fun at the beach too~! I hope you have a sun shine summery day in your own little paradise~

~Earthquake~

Hello from the earthquake capital of the world =) Did you feel the earthquake? Well *I* sure did~! Meg mom & I were actually shopping in a mall about 10 miles from the epicenter... AUGH~!! sooooooooo we had already been busy shoppers working our way thru all the stores in the mall and we were winding down thinking about where to go for lunch when Meg decided to go into one store while mom & I went into another. We meet up with Meg in her store...we were there less than a minute when the earthquake hit. Being from so cal...we know to just hang loose...just ride it out....and if it keeps going on...head for a doorway or hide under something if you can...People in the store were freaking out...we see all these people running past our store to get out of the mall...all rather surreal~! We just stood there holding each others hands...telling each other it was ok and we love each other and basically just riding it out and waiting. Well the mall is apparently on ~rollers~ to prevent it from crumbling and collapsing... so when I say ride it out...we were riding it out =) but once it was all over we just calmly walked out...called our loved ones to let them know we were ok and kept walking...EVERYONE that was left in the mall was on their cell phones and several stores were actually closing...not sure if they had damage or what...the resturant that we were going to go to was closing cause their gas line broke and at that point in time we decided to just go home. Mom only had a few pictures fall down at her house...and Meg had a few more pictures fall...truly amazing when you figure her house was only 2 miles from the epicenter.... again being from so cal earthquakes are going happen and they can never predict them and you never get used to them...so we just live with them...give me an earthquake over a tornado anyday =) but as I was driving home all I could think about was how calm we were and I realized what a blessed miracle it was that we were ALL together at the exact moment that the earthquake hit...had it been any earlier that would have not been the case and that would have been WAY scarier not knowing if we were all ok. God is soooo good and I am soooo thankful that not only were we all together when it struck...but we had each other's love and support to get us thru it~and now...I am going to go sit in my garden and count my many blessings~

~Sweet~

awwwwwww...Aren't they sweet? This is Jim & Cassie the very first time we meet her and now they are engaged...wowzers time flies~! They were "sharing" this amazing chocolate dessert. Boy were the spoons flying fast~! Love this new kit from Paula...Citrus Delights...she named each page after a fruit...like Kiwi ...Watermelon...Grapefruit...how clever is that? =) It pretty much makes me drool every time I design with it...your visual for the day...haha =) I hope you have a sweet day...with very little drooling involved =)....

~Sunshine~

So here are Todd & I just hangin' out at mom's birthday celebration. This was made using Krystal's new Sunkissed kit...she has been one busy designer lately =) But it's a sunshiney kind of kit which makes it fun to play & design with~! I hope spend some time today playing and bringing a little sunshine into your life and better yet...someone else's life~!

What better way to cool off in the summer time than to scrapbook a winter page =) This layout was made using a collaboration kit by my girl Krystal and her cohort Amy...Oh La La~!! I LOVE this picture of Meg~! She wore this adorable hat in the snow up in Idyllwild. Unfortunately Jim kept calling her poodle head =) Well ~I~ thought she looked cute and bottom line it kept her warm and that's all that matters~! Hope you have an Oh La Licious day =)

~Summer~

sumertime...and the living is easy~! Come along sing with me...hahaha =) Yep summer is here... the fair is over and the races have begun and the 'Zonies are out in full force with their wacko driving~! But there is nothing like summer in so cal...great weather...great beaches...wouldn't trade it for anything~! This layout is from a picture Jim took from his Spain trip last year. I based in on a Benadryl ad I saw in a magazine...hahaha...go figure~! Inspiration comes from all sources...you just have to keep your eyes open~! So have an inspiring day~! =)

Amazing things seem to be happening on the digital front. I was selected to be on the Purple Paper Flowers Creative Team and am now known as a Blue Belle =) Awesome Amazing talent at that site~! Someday I am going to figure out the hyperlink thing so I can hook you right up so you can see for yourself what I am talking about. I am truly honored and and in shock that they would select me and I have Krystal to thank for this whole digital experience...she actually introduced me to PPF flowers too...six degrees of separation the scrapbook way =) Just remember ~you can learn a lot of things from the flowers~ hahaha inside family joke of me singing along with Alice in Wonderland...ya had to be there =)~

soooooooo notice anything different? Cool new blog huh? Well trust me *I* had nothing to do with it =) My good friend Karma designed this for me...isn't it awesome!?!?!?! She not only designs web pages she designs digital kits too...this girl ROCKS~!! My web page was made using her Beach kit and this page was made using her Blooming Garden kit. ~Truth~

I have been participating in a Scripture challenge over at Faith Sisters. Hard to imagine but we are half way thru the year~! Each week we are given a word to study and then scrapbook about it~ I love this picture of Meg & Jim and this bible verse is appropriate and soooo true~
I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my children are walking in the truth. 3 John 1:4

~Band~

One time...at band camp....hahaha =)
This is a picture of mom & dad playing in the band at Eliot Junior High. Mom played the clarinet and dad played the bassoon. They look soooo young and cute...I just love this picture =) Love this kit too~! It's a new one by Krystal Hartley called My Piano Room so of course I had to make a music page with it =) May beautiful music fill your heart today and every day~!

~Patience~

Aren't they cute? This is Meg & Jim hanging out in our suite in Spokane waiting to head off to dinner. More about that vacation later =) But like the kit? It's from Paula Phillips Designs and is this ever a story. When we came back from vacation, I was checking in with all the scrapbooking forums I post layouts in and I noticed there was a private message for me on one of them. Paula had sent me a message over 4 months ago saying she liked my layouts and wanted to know if I was interested in being on her Design Team~! augh~!! So I sent off an email to her totally apologizing for never getting back to her...computer savvy I am not...and low and behold she STILL wanted me to be on her team~! woohoo~! Moral of the story..good things come to those who wait...AND check your messages often =) I hope some good things come your way today~!

~Tattoos~

So while on vacation in Spokane, Meg & I decided to do a little mother-daughter bonding and what better way to say that than by getting henna tattoos~! hahaha~! Meg got a really cute one that had stars and swirls...looked like fireworks which was perfect for the 4th of July. I picked out a simple flower which ended up looking like 1) bird poop 2) bruise 3) liver spot...sheesh I am sooooo not meant to be hep~! =) anyway...like the layout? It's a new design from my new creative team position at Purple Paper Flowers... woohoo~!! love love love their stuff~! Hope you have a star spangled day and NOT a liver spot kind of day~! =)

Just home from another infamous Williams' Family Reunion...more about that some other time =) But while I was gone this layout was Featured on the Memory Makers online Gallery layout of the day...woohoo and thanks to Chrissy W for the template and Emma at Eyelet's Scraps Designs for the goodies~!
