What a fun birthday celebration we had with Meg. She was on spring break from teaching so she came home for a few days which we spent shopping...going to movies...watching videos...eating sushi and just having a grand old time. Then we meet up with Jeff at Disneyland to celebrate her actual birthday. Amazing that she STILL likes going to ~The Happiest Place On Earth~ And we were all smiles when we got to paddle the canoes around the lake. How fun it was to see the park from a whole different viewpoint. Happy Birthday Meg...spending the day with you made us smile BIG time and I hope this picture brings a smile to everyone's face as well =)

~Meggers~

Meg is turning 27...oh man...now I REALLY feel old~! =) It truly does just seem like yesterday that she wore her hair in pigtails and wanted to dress up as Dorothy. And now she has turned into a truly amazing young woman. Nope we are not in Kansas anymore more Toto =) I have learned sooo much from Meg and her ability to grasp opportunities... to enjoy life to it's fullest...to try new experiences...to explore new countries. I am humbled by her maturity ...constantly amazed by her talents...and proud to be her mum~ I look forward to seeing what God has planned for her future. Love ya babycakes and happy 27th~! =)

We had a fun time in Arizona visiting Jim and celebrating his birthday. We went to the Botanical Gardens and saw an amazing butterfly exhibit...finally got to the Desert Museum and saw all the animals there...up close and personal to a mountain lion...awesome~! He even drove us around and showed us all the construction sites for the projects that he has been working on for his engineering firm...WAY cool~~! I LOVE this picture~! Just like a little kid, the anticipation of opening a present is just toooo much =) I hope today brings some unexpected anticipation your way =)

~Jimbo~
My ~baby~ turns 24 tomorrow...AUGH~!!!! Just HOW did this happen?!? Seems like only yesterday he was as old as the cutie in this picture but now he is a young man....which I suppose makes me an old woman...sheesh =)~ No matter what his age...he has always had the ability to make me laugh til I cry...scare me til I cry...be sweet til I cry...ok apparently having a son makes one a blubbering mess =) But seriously...I am sooooo very proud of Jim. He has turned into an amazing young man and I look forward to seeing what God has in store for him in the future...and what other ways he can make me cry =) love ya buddy bud and Happy 24th~!!!Saturday, March 8, 2008

Can you see this big old smile on my face? Well, you are just going to have to imagine it cause I got THE most delightful surprise in the mail today. I opened up this magazine only to find one of my scrapbook layouts featured... woohoo~! I LOVE this picture of my dad. It's on the beach in San Clemente where our family shared soooo many happy memories. Because of that, I created this layout as a tribute to him. It's how I like to remember him...relaxed... carefree...enjoying life to its fullest and soaking up the California sun. Yep it just makes me smile = )

~Mumsy~
Today is my mum's birthday~! Happy Birthday~!!! This picture just cracks me up~! Gotta love a woman that allows me to tie a package ribbon around her head into a bow and keeps it there throughout the entire celebration =) So I suppose instead of being a red hat lady, she is a purple ribbon lady. But then my mum has always been an individual and that's just one of the MANY reasons why I love her so =)Tuesday, March 4, 2008
~Reconnect~
I recently had lunch with my friend Joan who I had not seen in almost 20 years~! It was rather bitter sweet in that the death of a mutual friend brought it about. But it was amazing how we just started talking and picked up where we left off. We still have sooo much in common...kids... Microbiology... crazy husbands =) What a wonderful blessing to be able to reconnect after all this time. I think that Gloria is smiling in heaven knowing that she had some part in it all =) PS...this page was created using a kit from a new Creative Design Team I am on Scrap With Nikki God is good~! =)

~Regrowth~
This scenic view was taken out my car window on a recent drive to visit Todd. It's kinda blurry cause I was going about 80 mph = X Breathtakingly beautiful...no? And it's rather amazing to think that just 4 months ago this area was burnt to a crisp in the California wildfires. But now the native wildflowers are growing and there are lovely patches of green and gold and orange where it used to be brown and black. Gotta love the miracle of nature and it's spirit of regrowth~!
